Creating a New Workflow

Video Recap

  1. Go to the Project Home - the first page a user sees after clicking on a project on the Projects Dashboard
  2. Click on "Workflow" - This is located in the left navigation bar of your project
  3. Click on the green "+ Create Workflow" button - This can be found on the right
  4. Click on the text "Untitled Workflow" and rename your workflow - The text can be found on the top left of the canvas, and is the name of your workflow. You are now ready to build your workflow on this canvas!

Project Type and Model Compatibility

The corresponding annotations required to train these tasks follow this compatibility matrix. If a computer vision task is greyed out, this means that the data in your project is not compatible with the task.

🚧

Bounding box type projects can technically be used for semantic segmentation and instance segmentation computer vision tasks, and those options will not be greyed out on the platform. However, we generally do not advise using bounding box annotations for segmentation tasks as segmentation tasks operate at the pixel level and bounding boxes largely do not provide sufficient detail for a model to learn at the pixel level.

Common Questions

Can I build multiple workflows?

Yes, your project can contain multiple workflows. However, you shouldn't build more than one workflow on the same canvas.

How do I run my workflow?

Once you are happy with your workflow, go to Running the Workflow.

What should I do if I don't know what workflow I want?

Our new Auto-Suggest Workflow feature will automatically create a functioning workflow for you, that you can then work off of or just run as is.
