Flappy Bird: The Tiny Game That Drove Us All Mad (and We Loved It Anyway)

There are games you play for fun, and then there are games you play because you can’t not play them. Remember that awkward little bird that looked like it escaped from an 8-bit Mario world? Yeah—Flappy Bird. It wasn’t flashy, it wasn’t even particularly polished, but somehow it crawled into our phones, our thumbs, and our nerves. And once you tapped that first pipe, there was no going back.

What Makes Flappy Bird Stand Out?
